Documents Required for GeM Portal Registration
Before moving to the registration procedure make sure that you have the following things:
- Pan card
- Adhaar card
- Bank details
- Registration certificate of GST
- MSME or Udyog Aadhaar Certificate
- A copy of the canceled check is also required
- Active Mobile number to which your Aadhaar is linked – for OTP purposes

Steps to Register on the GeM Portal
- The very first thing visited to GeM Portal website.
- Next, on the right-hand side of the homepage click on the Sign Up button.
- Then select the “Buyer” option.
- Once done, click on the “Review Terms and Conditions” button.
- After that select the I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions of Government e-Marketplace option on the document.
- Now, fill in the Aadhar Number and Mobile Number that is linked with the Aadhar and click on the Verify Aadhar button.
- Thereafter, click on the Create Account button. Afterwards enter the required details such as username, password, official email ID, and mobile number on the account registration number.
- Verify the email ID by opening the GeM verification mail sent to the email ID and clicking on the “Verify Email” button.
